Yorkshire Ladies Touring Team

On Friday the 19th July we welcomed the Yorkshire Ladies Tourng Team to King’ Lynn B.C. An experience enjoyed by all who took part, bowlers and helpers. What a super group of ladies, the result? who cares, we all just enjoyed the experence. Thank you Yorkshire Ladies.

Jermy and Durham Cups

A first for King’s Lynn, we have reached the semi finals of both the Jermy Cup and Durham Cup. The semi final of the Jermy Cup was held at R G Carters bowls green on Sunday the 30th June, a great morning bowling winning on two of the three rinks but losing to Downham Market on the overall shots,

The Durham Cup semi final will be played against Acle B.C on Great Plumstead green on Sunday the 4th August. The  choice of the green could have been a little fairer with us having to travel 55 miles and Acle 5 miles, however no matter where the sem final is held we will enjoy the day and play our best.

Australian Pairs

Our first venture in to this format of bowling. Billiant afernoon, hopefully enjoyed by all who took part. Pretty sure we will be running future pairs competitions based on Aussie rules. Winners on the day Tom & Sue Reeves.

Holt B C Friendly

Little late in posting this, however, our first friendly of the season was against our good friends from Holt. The weather was kind to us and we had a really nice afternoons bowling enjoyed by all. The winner on the day was, BOWLS.

Ron Fawcett Fours

First competition of the season, the weather was kind to us and  and an excellent afternoon of bowling was had by all who took part. A very closely fought contest with two teams drawing on equal points, congratulations to Laurence Scott, Tom Reeves, John Corden, Mike Bell who claimed the Ron Fawcett Trophy on shot difference.
